In this research project - a #research collaboration between Université catholique de Louvain, KU Leuven, imec and University of Liège, and coordinated by the Gehring-lab - we will explore the #energy and heat transport properties of a new class of exotic #quantum materials, so called (magnetic) Weyl semimetals. Their peculiar quantum properties promise a boost in heat-to-charge conversion efficiency, which might make them promising candidates for future disruptive #sensors, very low temperature #refrigerators for next generation #quantumcomputers, and medical devices.
